I have them quite a lot. I used to go to bed with the idea for a dream for quite a while until recently when I'll go to bed and fall straight into some form of uncontrolled sleep.
Although, I've noticed there are quite a few days when I am allowed to sleep in that a good three hours or so before I wake up completely that I'll become aware that I am dreaming and try to influence some of the scary things that tend to suddenly happen out of nowhere.
There are very few dreams that I have completely been able to manipulate in the morning, unless I create the dream previously before going to bed...
Is this a bad thing I wonder
Then again, surely day dreams are similar. I've been stuck in one of those where I haven't realised I've gone into a complete day dream and it'll take someone to shove me or poke me before I'll realise that I've drifed off into that comfortable numbness
Sorry for the ramble. I've had a few to drink sorry
I do not know.. I think they are so scary.. the way you are aware of them.. the way you can manipulate.. or how your self-concious takes over and starts to play it's own game.. I do not know.. I usually feel quite scared after dreams like that
I very seldom have lucid dreams, though it's increased a little as I've gotten older. They're fun - I remember the first lucid dream I had, I was about to be caught by some evil police of some sort, and then thought, "Wait, this is my dream, I don't have to let them catch me." And so they didn't.
That's the thing about these dreams. I think they're generally stress-relieving. Last time I had one, in the dream I wanted a vacation and found myself at the beach. It was so peaceful and I could almost feel the breeze on my skin. When I woke up I just had a smile on my face and was in a better mood
I don't really like them..the ones I control end up leaving me a weird feeling. But even then..I'm not so sure I was in "control" I was perfectly aware of everything going on and I knew what was going to happen next..they are always very vivid and very out of this world.
I've had sleep paralysis before..scared me half to death.
