1. Do you intend to work as an artist or to keep it as a hobby? 2. Do you have a significant income from dA prints? 3. Have you ever had bad time contacting stockers for prints permissions? 4. You've moved away from dark art, what genres do you want to try now? You're pretty eclectic right now 5. What kind of books do you read? I'm so curious
not really. I don't have any declared profession yet, it's still just a hobby for me. But upon graduation next year I'll be an interpreter with a diploma, in both English and French. and I'm not sure. I'm pretty scared of flying but I might go to my cousin's graduation 2 years from now with my uncles. Gotta start saving for a ticket
aww :\ well he said he's not planning on coming back to Romania, I mean he's a sophomore and already had plenty of job offers there and basically the lifestyle of America can't be compared to Romania. I don't know if he'll stay in Philly after graduation, he might move, I know he's pretty fond of NY. I'll ask about LA too
i donno if anyone has asked this before! sorry i'm asking again if so, i like to ask this from all professional artists here! have you been trained for kind of manips you do?! i mean any degrees, courses or so?! thank you!
none of that. digital in my country is not something people really acknowledge for the time being. And in art schools they only do traditional painting and drawing. No photoshop I just learned it all myself but I'm gonna look for some online courses or anything that could get me a diploma for it and people would start taking me seriously as an artist.
So you're doning really great in that! You're condition is exactly the same as mine, there is not such thing available here either. And i've been always trying to learn by myself, but it aint easy and as u see i havent been so sucessful in that I keep my fingers crossed for you!and wish you th best!
Where do you live (country, state anything like that)? What is the most embarrasing thing someone has ever asked you? What do you believe is your best and worst work of art you've done? What is your 2 most favorite artists in music? Who are 2 people you look up to? Are you single? Just had ot ask... And if you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Baia Mare, Maramures, Romania I was never asked anything embarrasing I honestly think my masterpiece up to the date is Careless Emilie Autumn and Katy Perry my mom cause she's had a really tough childhood and made all efforts to give me her love and support up until the day. I don't think I would be me as I am right now without her. and my 2nd mom which is my dA one, =flordelys cause she's been my greatest supporter since I started my dA account in late 2006 and she's just a wonderful person Yes I am single and pretty comfortable with it too. Probably Australia but with global warming I'm not sure that's good now.
the responces brought a tear to my eyes, they were beautiful.
But I have 1 more small question...
When I began my deviant account I was almost automatically drawn to your art merely by a simple piece called "As my dreams fade away" which I found when I typed in random words, since then you have worked with many many woman in your arts, but yet, I have no clue what you look like, if you had to pick one of your works of art which one would you say is the closest rendetion of you?
Have you ever been to Dracula's castle? I'm a big fan of the movie Actually I would really want to visit your country soon. I just have to cross the bridge since I live on the other side of the Danube It's a shame that I'm watching Romania every day from my balcony but I've never visited it!
hi! i have few of questions as i m quite new to deviantart............ all are decent i think !! 1.how to post scraps!? 2.how to post in a contest ??like first post as a deviation then give the url link to the contest owner as a note??? 3.What are the basic benefit of getting subscribed?
well i can return with few more questions .... hope you answer them i would be glad!!
There's whole list of FAQ in dA that I think covers all the answers there [link]
for scraps you have to select "no category" on the list when submitting. For contests it's never the same, some want links sent through note, others through comments on their journals, etc. But what they do have in common is you need to copy the link from your browser and send it to them 3. I'm not sure there are any now. It was the message center but I've learned from a non-subscribed friend that since the new version it's the same for everyone. There's still CSS journal and posting thumbs that is subscriber only I think.
heh actually had it 3 days ago... I was out and pumped into a few of my high-school classmates and we hung out. But it was late and all I wanted was to get home and they kept pulling me so I wouldn't leave. And then this sudden breeze came around me and lifted me up in the sky and I floated back home. And then I woke up
fun. it's how I started and continue to the day. I don't get commissioned, except for charity commissions which I get asked for a lot, and you may have noticed few of the works submitted within this year are up as prints. I've only sold about 5 prints since I've been on dA and the profits were at around 1$ each. There's really nothing in it for me except some comfort knowing someone out there has one of my works on their wall
I know what you mean. Fun is the key in creating and being happy with what one creates! I had very little, positive feedback on my fantasy artwork here in SA. Most people are too conservative to appreciate fantasy - they always try to find evil meaning behind it somewhere So it's been absolutely tremendous for me on DA, with all the encouragement and inspiration that others like yourself have given me. People will walk into a gallery and pay thousands for a white canvas with a splatter of pink paint on it, but not pay a few hundred for an exceptional, detailed fantasy painting!! Does not make sense to me. But yes, I know what you mean, it does bring joy knowing someone has one of your artworks on their wall. ;D
yeah I mean there's no need to analyse a work to the chore when it's not necessary. Sometimes people seek to find a hidden meaning to works when we're only trying to show the obvious. Someone said my art was scary... or creepy... I can't exactly recall the term but it was one of those which I don't feel represents me at all... what could they think of macabre artists then?
People are peculiar! ....Someone came to my house the other day and saw my painting of 'I am Goddess' and said it was a pretty CARTOON!!!! I could only shake my head. I read a saying long ago by an artist (can't remember who) - "My art may be liked or disliked, understood or not - what difference does that make to me?!"
I create, because that is who I am and what I do - I do it for me, if others like it, it's a bonus, if they don't - tough sh*t!
There are a lot of words to describe your artwork, scary and creepy, definitely are NOT amongst them ..... beautiful, emotional, thought-provoking...
well who said that was right. I mean I'm not here to please anyone, except for myself. If tomorrow I'm gonna feel like placing a rat smirking at a cat that's what I'm gonna do art is really subjective :] not everyone will see the same thing by looking at it
