I've been brainstorming through the day trying to come up with something for =xBluepearlx's Moonlight Contest before the deadline. Having a big moon show up in the center seemed like the easy road to take and as I like to challenge myself I thought I'd make it as a reflection. This is what I got in the end. My only hope is that she accepts it even though it doesn't focus on the moon, but the light source is the moon and the moon itself is subtly incorporated in the piece.

The blues you use just add to the feeling of melancholy yet mystery to the piece. I love her eyes and the expression on her face. The reflection is really interesting as well especially with the intricate marble (?) surface.
-- Raythe Reign Yaoi and Het Science Fiction and Paranormal Stories www. RaytheReign.com She appeared worried or even scared, but your image doesn't feel that way to me. She appears more searching, as if trying to guess what the viewer might be thinking as he/she gazes upon her. The reflection is beautifully done, subtle yet powerful all the same. Amazing job on the hair. Hope she takes your submission. She'd be silly not to. -- Being cruel to people isn't funny. It's not edgy. It's disgusting. Really lovely.

Critiques
I adore the work on shadows and light. Everything is on it's place. No mistakes. This work overall looks for me as the perfect example of flawless manipulation. It looks so real, so paining on the same time, so beautiful and mystical.
I have always loved how you manage to make your image talk. You can look into those eyes and they catch you. You can look that face and there is such a clever mystic and magic, some secrets and little laughter hidden.
And the details.. I have no idea how much time you spend on it.. but every detail.. it seems so polished, so.. perfect.. And I have always loved your way of paining hair.. this work really brings it all out and makes it stunning.
I really think this is one of the best works by you. It is so original, so striking.. so polish and flawless. And even if it is quite dark work, there is so much details and so much color.. something we can rarely see on dark art.
But for the actual critique, I find the model very beautiful and her eyes are very startling but they seem like they're in the wrong proportions, are they supposed to be the center-piece or is the moon for the contest. On the actual girl, she has her silvered earrings, and those show up in the reflection but on the actual girl, you added another earring and that doesn't even have a glimmer in the reflection but on her, it sparkles slightly.
I love her hair beyond anything, I love the way it seems to cascade around her and that I think really gives her more life then just looking like some fairy girl. Over all, I love this piece but I think the actual reflection of her face could use a tad bit of work.
