I worked hard on this one especially because I tried to get across an important message.
The girl in white on the darker background and the one in black on the light part of the background are like that one purpose. It gives nice contrasts and more depth to what I was trying to portray.
It started from the general saying that "there is no black and white, but it's more shades of gray".
There is no pure good, and there is no pure evil. There's like percentages of both, sometimes in equal amounts and sometimes one being more than the other.

The model in white was supposed to be the image of purity. Of course wannabe purity, kinda like many of the people I have to deal with everyday. They're all smiley and friendly, but they're just looking for an opportunity to stab you in the back and then act all innocent about it. Her expression is supposed to be of surprise, that fake surprise and denial I was writing about above.

And the model in black, well when I saw her the first thing that came to me when I saw her head lowered like that was humility.

The cracked earth is the thin line between good and evil and how easily can one cross from one side to the other

Dedicated to *ImaginaryRosse and *Sharringan cause they've been kickin' ass at photomanipulation lately and they're really kind and sweet

This is good. The concept is also very good. I think the lighting on the model in white needs tweaking to darken and the whole thing blurring slightly so it is a bit out of focus (maybe some mist or something rising up from the feet). The birds would be better if they were say a bird of paradise and a raven (extremes in the bird world and maybe some other bird to represent the grey you talk about. Sorry about the lengthy critique, but I think the work is superb, and could be very outstandingly superb!! - [link]

You maybe would like Moliére's "Misantoph", the Character of Arsinoé is very good made by Moliére. About religious "holy" people and their rel intentions (envy, hate etc.)...
